At Lone Rock Counseling, therapy isn't about sitting on a couch and talking in circles. It's about having real conversations, understanding what's actually getting in your way, and finding practical ways to move forward.
You don't need to have everything figured out before you start. That is what therapy is for.
I’m Troy, the therapist behind Lone Rock Counseling.
I believe therapy should feel like a real conversation—not a lecture, a checklist, or a place where you have to pretend everything is fine.
My approach is straightforward, practical, and collaborative. I want to understand what’s actually happening in your life, what may be keeping you stuck, and what you want to be different. From there, we work together to make sense of the patterns, challenge what isn’t working, and build tools you can actually use outside of the therapy room.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, overthinking, relationship challenges, major life transitions, confidence and self-esteem, personal growth, and those times when you know something needs to change but aren’t quite sure where to start.
I’m not here to tell you how you should feel or give you a bunch of therapy jargon. I’m here to have an honest conversation, ask the questions that matter, and help you move forward in a way that actually fits your life.
You don’t have to have everything figured out before you start. You just have to be willing to start somewhere.
No unnecessary jargon or complicated therapy speak. We'll talk about what's actually happening and what you want to change.
Therapy shouldn't only help while you're sitting in a therapy session. We'll focus on tools and strategies you can use in real life.
You know your life better than anyone. I bring the clinical perspective, you bring your experience, and we figure out what works together.
